Network (18-25)

Network is the final youth section in the UK Scouting offering. This section is for 18-25 year olds and allows those who love what scouting has to offer to stay involved as young adults, continuing to learn Skills for Life and make new memories.

When you turn 18, you have to leave explorers and move away for university or begin full time work. Network allows those in this age range to continue to be involved in scouting when they can. Network have meetings in a local pub, have a game of bowling, attend Network focussed camps such as Monopoly Run or Revolution and attend Adult only events such as Gillwell Reunion.

The purpose of this section is to allow those young adults to socialise in a safe way and learn new skills to assist the other sections in the district with their programme offering. Hopefully, by the time Network members reach 25, they have decided to take on another adult volunteering role in Scouting and continue their adventure for years to come.

We are in the process of relaunching this section in Leatherhead so if you are interested, email your District Youth Commissioner, Liz Page – Lizzie.Page@leatherheaddistrictscouts.org.uk

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
