District Cub Scouts Visit to RAF Hendon

Date: 27th Mar 2019 Author: Jenny Harlow

On the 3rd March 2019 over 120 Cubs from all the Packs in the District plus some 30-off Leaders and brave parent helpers filled 3 coaches on a day trip to the RAF museum, Hendon. Everybody had a great time looking at planes, helicopters, boats… fiddling with things (that were intended to be fiddled with),climbing into things to see what the insides of planes and helicopters were like, climbing onto things (good job those models are well built), and even indulging in some electronic voting- but still finding enough time to work on their Air Activities badges as they went around. Everyone even flew with the Red Arrows in the 4D cinema. A fantastic experience for the Cubs- and for the adults too!
